KANSAS
CITY, MO -- The measure of
one persons purpose is very often tied to several others destiny. What
ever that person believes and whatever that person goes into
begins
to be the wishes and the dreams of several others around them. One person
once said that you can't trust men but in the case of Steve Grey you would
have to look into his heart like several other people have. His first call
is to be a pastor, the vision of a pastor is usually established in a
church over a five year period of time, but in the case of Pastor Steve
Grey in the Smithton Church he couldn’t see much more to do with his
church and was considering leaving the church.
Steve
Grey is one of the most talented individuals you ever want to meet, but
the measure of who he would be in ministry would have nothing to do with
his pastorship of the tiny church in the middle of a cornfield in
Missouri.
Many people had told him about revival
in Pensacola. Steve was so hungry to touch God that he would do anything
to get out of the depression he felt over ministry. He traveled to
Pensacola , Florida to visit a church that was on fire. Pastor Kilpatrick
had been in revival for a couple of years, and while Steve Grey didn’t
understand what was going on he would soon come under the power anointing
of the Holy Sprit to give him a new hope and a destiny. He stayed in
Pensacola for several days and as each night got more intense so did
Steve. Steve began to understand that it wasn’t anything that he could
do within hi s own talent to receive this blessing but the talent this man
had was touched by God from the movement he left the church. Many pastor
had to die to self to receive the impartation and Steve Grey learned the
powerful secret to this impartation. It could be transferred, that
transfer began in his tiny church in Smithton and people began to come
from all over the world. God was blessing Steve and Cathy Grey in a
tremendous way. The vision of revival began to consume the couple as they
sought God to move this move of God to Kansas City. It took a year but the
vision remained in tack and the Grays are still in revival and every night
when the service starts Steve can tell you the exact time that God is
going to come in his full glory. Sitting under this revival pastor for
several days I was amazed at the revelation that was coming from his
mouth. I began to ask others is he always this good, and many of the
people told me, he never preaches the same message twice. That’s when
you know it is revival. Steve Hill when he started revival in Pensacola
said , "I only had four or five sermons when we stated in 1995 but
everyday when I got up in the morning I would get revelation after
revelation at what to preach and the amazing thing was that it fit the
needs of people who came to the church at that moment. The Holy Spirit is
very active in revelation when there is a revival. Today the Kansas City
Revival Church is still one of the hottest fires around -- they never left
the realm of revival and the glory is still coming down. The Cornfield to
KC, this fire just won’t go away.
